The Supremacy of Christ


He is the Image of the Invisible GOD, the first born over all creation. For by Him, all things were created: things in Heaven and on Earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the Head of the Body, the Church; He is the beginning and the first born among the Dead, so that in everything he might have the Supremacy. For GOD was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on Earth or things in Heaven, by making Peace through His Blood shed on the Cross. +


Freedom from Human Regulation through Life with Christ

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the Faith as you were taught, and overflowing with Thankfulness.
See that no one takes you captive through hallow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this World, rather than on Christ.
For in Christ, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the Head over every power and authority.



Paul’s Vision and his Thorn

To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great Revelations, there was given me a Thorn in my Flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times, I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me. “ My grace is sufficient for You, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am Strong.

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the Truth is not in us.
